“ခဲကနံၣ်အံၤဟ့ၣ်လီၤယၤလၢတၢ်ကူၣ်သ့, ဒီးတၢ်သ့ၣ်ညါ, ဒ်သိးယကဟးထီၣ်ဒီးဟဲနုာ်လၢပှၤဂီၢ်မုၢ်အံၤအမဲာ်ညါတက့ၢ်. အဂ့ၢ်ဒ်အံၤ, မ့ၢ်မတၤစံၣ်ညီၣ်နပှၤဂီၢ်မုၢ်ဖးဒိၣ်အံၤသ့တဂၤလဲၣ်.”

ASK ANYTHING FOR HE CAN FULFILL YOUR PETITION
Bible in a Year: 2 Chronicles 1:1-17; 1 Corinthians 6; Psalm 94:1-11
“Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of yours?”

When talking about making a petition to God, my mind takes me back to my childhood. The village I grew up in had no Christians. However, there was a teacher who came to serve in our village. She was a Christian. When she taught us, she also included information about God, heaven, Jesus, and hell. I really liked learning from her about God and memorized what she taught us like stories. She told us, “When you are in a predicament that you can’t find a way out on your own, pray to God. He can help you.” I came home. I took out a book in English from my school bag . I could not read a word. But, I remembered what my teacher said, “Pray to God. He can help you.” But then, I didn’t quite know how to pray. My family practiced Buddhism. I was also afraid that if they found me praying, they would scold me. Then, I heard my mother asking me to worship the idols. I said I would and started cleaning the shrine. But, I was not interested. I was only drawn to worship the God my teacher spoke about in class. I looked around. If my mother or siblings were not around, I turned my back to the shrine and prayed to God. Then, I went back to reading. Starting that time, I felt like I could read and memorize lessons better. That was a big surprise for me. In the past, I could not read even a few lines. But, after I prayed to God, there was a change. As a result, I felt that the God of my teacher is real. However, I did not become a Christian and get baptized right away. It was only later that I professed my faith through believer’s baptism. God is real. He can help us any time and that is undeniable. He is ready to listen to our petitions and willing to fulfill our needs. Therefore, make your petitions to the Lord.

Dear Father God, thank you for giving me the faith to trust in You. Please help those who have not put their trust in You so they may come to believe in You. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
