GOD’S TIMING
Bible in a Year: Ecclesiastes 1, Ecclesiastes 2, Ecclesiastes 3:1-22;

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can’t find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end.”

Everything God does is beautiful. Every beautiful thing God does has a purpose. The wisdom of men can never fully understand the mystery of God. What men can only do is to believe in God and try to see things from God’s perspective. I was born in the delta area of Burma among Christians. We were poor and as an eldest brother, I had to sacrifice to take care of my widowed mother and my younger brother. My dream of going to school seemed unattainable. I also could not give much of my time to God. But then, I got news from someone saying, “If you want to go to school, go to a refugee camp.” To make the story short, I ended up in Mae La Refugee Camp, but I did not know anyone there. To make a few bucks, I worked in Mae La Refugee Hospital for three years. When I felt hopeless about going to school, I met Thramu Moe Htoo Leh (now residing in Australia) who was a teacher at Kawthoolei Karen Baptist Bible School and College (KKBBSC). She not only encouraged me to go to Bible school, but also asked her friend in America to provide a scholarship for me. I still have not met this person who helped me. This aunty paid for my school for a year. After that, Thramu found another source of help that made it possible for me to graduate from Bible school. I then taught at the Bible school for one year. Afterward, I went to Nagaland, India with the help of Dr. Wado for further studies. After graduating, I came back to serve at KKBBSC. What I want to emphasize here is that God works in His own timing and He is never late.

During the time we have to wait on the Lord, is our heart true to Him?During the time we have to wait on the Lord, what might He want us to do?
Prayer
Dear God, teach us to count our blessings, keep a faithful heart, and have patience during the time we have to wait. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
