“အဂ့ၢ်ဒ်အံၤ, ကယဲၢ်ပှၤအကလုာ်တဖၣ်အကစၢ်ခဲလၢာ်မ့ၢ်တၢ်ဂီၤ, မ့မ့ၢ်ယွၤတ့မူခိၣ်လီၤ. တၢ်လၤကပီၤဒီးတၢ်ကဟုကညီၢ်အိၣ်လၢအမဲာ်ညါ, ဒီးတၢ်ဂံၢ်တၢ်ဘါဒီးတၢ်သးခုအိၣ်လၢအလီၢ်ပူၤလီၤ.”

WHO GOD IS

“For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but Yahweh made the heavens. Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and gladness are in this place.”

This scripture encourages believers to seek to know better Who God is. God is the One and Only God of everyone and the Creator of heaven and earth. Honor and majesty are His and within Him reside strength and gladness. We thank God for we get to be His children. There are many gods, but it is a great blessing for us to worship the Only True God. It is only fitting that we seek to know God better.
There was once a family with a three-year-old daughter. Being the first born, this child was adored by the parents, grandparents and all relatives. One day, the little girl got malaria and ran a very high fever. She was seen by the village healthcare worker, but her condition got worse. The parents tried to find a way to take her to a big hospital in the city. By the time the little girl got to the big hospital, she was unconscious. The parents begged the doctors to save their daughter’s life. A day passed and the girl was still unconscious. The parents and all relatives were worried and troubled. At that time, the father said, “My daughter is a gift from God. I need to ask God to heal her and let her live.” The family members and relatives prayed together in one spirit in tears. In the morning, the little girl woke up and she was dismissed from the hospital after a week. Often we get worn out on this journey of life. Sometimes, we face sickness in our body and mind. Other times, the disobedience and self-indulgence of our children bring us pain. But, parents must hold on to faith. Why? Because in God, we find healing, strength and gladness. Who God is must be enough for us. God must be the shade for us in the heat of worries. God is omnipotent. What men can’t do, God can do them all. There is nothing God cannot do.

Dear Father God, thank you for your sovereignty over all created things. Teach us to abide in You, seek Your will, and draw near You. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
