GOD’S BLESSINGS

“While we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

There are God’s blessings that can be plainly seen, and then there are God’s blessings that are not seen until you search to receive them. Because rich blessings are offered in the scriptures, you have to open the Bible to receive the blessings through the word of God. If we do not open the Bible, the blessings will remain unreleased, but will pass over us.
Bountiful blessings can follow you even when you take a few steps on the path of blessings. For example, the little gift of five loaves of bread and two fish was multiplied by Jesus to feed thousands. The scripture says five thousand men, besides women and children, were satisfactorily fed. There were 12 basketfuls of leftover bread and fish. Once, Rev. Waldo Thein, pastor of Thamaing Church, had a plan to build a gathering hall. Some people told him, “Are you crazy? Where are you going to find that kind of money?” Rev. Thein answered, “God blessed five loaves of bread and two fish. We will do this with God’s blessings.” Then, he was told, “Five loaves and two fish are only in the Bible,” to which he replied, “If you keep the Bible closed, the blessings will just stay inside the Bible. But if you open it, read it, believe in it, and live it, you will be blessed.” The hall was completed and furnished with tables, chairs, and other necessary items.
Reflection
Do you seek God’s blessings? Some blessings are openly seen, but there are also unseen eternal blessings that God has already prepared for you.
Prayer
Dear Jesus Christ, may Your children on earth know Your blessings and seek Your blessings. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
