TALK TO GOD IN PRAYER

There are times in life when we are oppressed by the pressure so forceful that we feel debilitated. In enduring the stress, we try to seek someone who would understand our pain. We want to pour out our hearts so we feel heard and validated. Hard times also lead us to look up to God and talk to Him in prayer. Therefore, we can say that stress and problems can bring us closer to God. Jim Van Yeperson said that troubles in life can be a part of God’s integral plan for His glory. In times of trouble, we are more likely to become aware of our needs and weaknesses as well as gain better understanding about truth and faith.
The only One Who can help us is the Almighty God. When we are in hardship, God is our strength and help. He can secretly supply us with the strength to invigorate our hearts as we seek understanding and support to alleviate our worries. But, we often go to men first for relief and walk away not consoled. The best thing is to go to God first and foremost and talk to Him in prayer to lessen the pressure and lighten the burden on us. Moreover, our information will remain safe with God and we do not have to trouble others. Let us tell God in prayer!
Reflection
Do you run to men first for help when you face trouble? It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans.
Prayer
Dear God, you can do everything. In facing trouble, please help us to know You closely, trust in You, and fellowship with You. It is our desire to love You more and glorify You so others will also put their trust in You. In Jesus’s name we pray. Amen.
