SHOW THE GLORY OF GOD

“The ants are not strong people, yet they provide their food in the summer. The hyraxes are but a feeble folk, yet make their houses in the rocks.  The locusts have no king, yet they advance in ranks. You can catch a lizard with your hands, yet it is in kings’ palaces.”

When I was little, I lived in Burma and went to school, but after first grade I had to drop out of school. My parents could no longer afford to send me to school, and I had to watch my friends going to school. I wanted to go to school, but I couldn’t. My family was very poor, working from dawn to dusk and living from hand to mouth. In 2004, I left home and went to live in a refugee camp. I was placed in an orphanage and had the opportunity to go back to school. There, I went to school from fifth grade to ninth grade. By the grace of God and His many blessings, I was able to have a good life and study well at school. 

Then in 2010, I immigrated to America. Even though I was not educated, I went on having a good life, plentiful food, nice clothes, and a steady job. I was healthy and strong.  In addition, I was able to continue to study in high school. I was later admitted to KBCUSA Bible School and graduated there. These were due to the grace of God poured out in my life.  

My beloved brothers and sisters, God loves us so much. As we read in Proverb 30:25-28, God’s small creations, ants, hyraxes, locusts, and lizards are wise in their own ways and show the glory of God. We human beings  are his highest creation, and God gives us wisdom and knowledge way more than He gives the animals. We must sing his praises, thank him, honor him, and pray to the Lord who created heaven and earth and gave us life. Thus, seek refuge in him and show His glory in our lives. 

Reflection

God’s grace is so mighty that He created us as His highest creation and loves us the most.  In what ways do you show His glory at home, at school, at work, and anywhere you go?

Prayer

Dear Father, bless us, teach us, and guide us to be Your children who live and show Your glory in our life.  In the name of Jesus Christ we pray.  Amen.
