GRACIOUS AND FAITHFUL GOD

God has always given me the things that I couldn’t have imagined for myself, providing beyond my anticipation and human expectations. He is faithful; our reliable ground which neither changes nor shakes. God is gracious for me because He never punished me according to my sins. Through my life experiences, my tongue confesses that He is a gracious protector, lifting me up to the higher ground even though I am undeserving.
My mother was a very disciplined believer who observed the sabbath days and church’s regulations. In fact, she dedicated me to God since I was born and it was her fervent hope for me to become a servant of God. But seeing the financial struggles of the ministers of God and wanting to be rich, I had no desire to follow in their footsteps. And upon my mother’s death when I was six years-old, the rest of the family members became lax in our Christian devotion without her godly influence.
But God proved faithful and gracious when He answered my mother’s prayer — I completed my theological studies in 2012 from Kawthoolei Karen Baptist Bible School and College (KKBBSC). In 2014, I was requested to accompany my nephew to attend Korean language classes in order to pursue a job in South Korea and arrived there on December 21. Faced with countless obstacles, I was discouraged thinking I could no longer serve God but I prayed for another chance. I was mesmerized by God’s faithfulness and graciousness yet again on December 23, 2015 when Karen refugees began resettling in South Korea and I was able to serve Him again.

Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and graciousness in all you say and do. Help me recognize the work of your hands and be grateful to you. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
