NEVER FORGET ALL GOD’S GOOD DEEDS

Bible in a Year: 2 Chronicles 26, 2 Chronicles 27, 2 Chronicles 28;
2 Corinthians 1:1-11; Psalm 103:1-12

“Let my whole being bless the Lord and never forget all his good deeds.”  
Psalm 103:2 CEB

There are so many good deeds done by the Lord in my life that it is impossible to finish counting them. I would like to give testimony about God’s good deeds that were done to me in ways beyond human beings’ comprehension. More than 30 years ago when I was five years old, I was sick and hospitalized. The doctors said there was no hope and granted my parents permission to take me home to peacefully die at home. My mother was heart-broken. Many cried in deep sadness. But, my father was the one who did not lose hope. On my way home when I reached the play area in front of the church, a deacon saw us and was going to ring the church bell announcing a death to the community. My father told him, “Don’t ring the bell, my daughter is still alive.”  Once I got home, healthcare workers came to provide care for me. Many friends prayed in tears. God then did his miraculous deed and I recovered. So many people were sure I was going to die. But, God brought me out of the shadow of death by His deed of loving kindness and touched me with His grace. Just as God says, “I am the Lord Who heals you,” “Certainly the faithful love of the Lord hasn’t ended; certainly God’s compassion isn’t through” for me (Lamentations 3:22). Because of His abundant grace, I also got to study at Bible school and then serve God in His service. His good deeds for me are overflowing. I would like to speak in the words of Psalm 103 by saying I will never forget all His good deeds. 

Reflection

What are the things we should not forget in our lives? Do we praise the Lord? Have we responded to His great love and good deeds?

Prayer

Dear Father God, You are the healer of my sickness. Please heal me not only physically, but spiritually with Your holiness. May I never forget Your good deeds! In Jesus’s name we pray. Amen.
