PROCLAIM HIS WORDS
Bible in a Year: Ecclesiastes 9:13-18, Ecclesiastes 10, Ecclesiastes 11, Ecclesiastes 12; 1 Corinthians 9:1-18; Psalm 96:1-13
“Sing to the LORD, Praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.”
Psalm 96:2 NIV
On August 16, 2018, I did not feel any movement of my son in my womb, so we went to Maeramart hospital. On my way there, I echoed Job’s words “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised” (Job’s 1:21). We arrived at the hospital and learned our son no longer breathed. We experienced the painful journey of parents who had to bury their children. Tears kept running down my face at the sound of a baby crying or at the sight of baby soap, diapers, bottles, or pregnant women. I cried all day and all night until I met a mental health worker. She told me to come back for medications if I continued to cry like this for six months. God’s word, His love, the love of so many friends and family members, and their prayers helped heal my wound. I didn’t have to take any medicine after six months. Instead, I am very privileged to “Proclaim his salvation day after day” (Psalm 96:2).
In April 2020, I lost my cousin sister, May Ywar Blut, to cancer. The following month in May, I lost another cousin, Htoo Eh. The pain their parents had to go through was excruciating. I also shared in that agonizing experience. God is our only hope to gradually heal the wounds of these loving parents. As the Lord gives me comfort and turns my suffering into a testimony for Him, let us pray that all shattered and despaired hearts will find hope in the Lord.

Rely on God for He can use Your pain to proclaim His salvation.

Living God, Creator of heavens and earth, may Your name be praised forever as you have turned our mourning into dancing. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
