GOD LOVES SINNERS
Bible in a Year:Hosea 1, Hosea 2; Romans 6:1-14; Psalm 87:1-7

God told Hosea, “Go, marry a promiscuous woman and have children with her.” (Hosea 1:2 – NIV). Hosea married Gomer and through that God taught the Israelites to realize their own adultery against God. Like Hosea, God was the husband, whose wife, the Israelites, was unfaithful to Him. God exposed the Isralites for their repeated infidelity against Him. To regain the hearts of the Israelitles, God would allow painful consequences upon them. He would strip them naked and expose their nakedness as the day they were born. However, God would later pour out His love upon the Israelites, fulfill His promises, bring them under His grace, and give them a faithful heart. God may render judgment, but in love and forgiveness, God would teach the Israelites and continue to bless them. Today, there are many who walked away from their first love for God. God is waiting for His people to come back to His holy city and welcoming anyone who wants to return to Him. The scripture from the Book of Romans tells us to consider ourselves dead to sin. We are invited to be alive under God’s grace. God admonishes us in the hope that we would understand His eternal love and return to Him in repentance. Today, we can confess that there are many on earth like you and me, who are like the unfaithful Israelites. I thank God for bringing me under His truth and placing me under His grace, which allows me to serve Him and work together with precious brothers and sisters in many areas.

Dear Father God, please forgive our traspasses. Help us to love You and be faithful to You as You are always faithful to us. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
