‘‘အဂ့ၢ်ဒ်အံၤ, ပှၤခဲလၢာ်မၤတၢ်ဒဲးဘးဒီးတချုးန့ၢ်ဘၣ်ယွၤအလၤအကပီၤဘၣ်. ဒီးပဘၣ်တၢ်ပာ်တီပာ်လိၤပှၤကလီကလီလၢယွၤအဘျုးအဖှိၣ်လၢယ့ၣ်ၡူးခရံာ်အတၢ်ပှ့ၤက့ၤပှၤအဃိလီၤ.’’

ကစၢ်ယွၤအဲၣ်ဒိးရ့လိာ်သးဒီးပှၤဘူးဘူးတံၢ်တံၢ်န့ၣ်လီၤ. ကစၢ်ယွၤလူၤဃုအပှၤဃုထၢဖိတဖၣ်ဒ်သိးပကရ့လိာ်ပသး ဒီးအီၤဘူးဘူးတံၢ်တံၢ်န့ၣ်လီၤ. ပမ့ၢ်နာ်လၢတယံာ်ဘၣ်ကစၢ်ခရံာ်ကဟဲက့ၤန့ၣ်မ့ၢ်ပကအိၣ်မူတၢ်အိၣ်မူဒ်လီၢ်လီၢ်ဧါ. ပမ့ၢ်နာ်လၢကဟဲက့ၤလၢခံတလါ, ခဲကၢာ်တနွံ, မ့တမ့ၢ်ခဲမုၢ်ဆ့ၣ်န့ၣ်ပဆီတလဲပတၢ်ဖံးတၢ်မၤလၢပမၤအီၤတနံၤအံၤ သ့ဧါ.

WHY WAIT ANY LONGER?
Bible in a Year: Amos 3, Amos 4; Romans 3:9-31, Psalm 85:8-13
“For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”
Romans 3:23-24 NIV
God desires to be in a close relationship with His people. God is reaching out to His chosen people to enter into an intimate fellowship with Him. If we truly believe Jesus is coming soon, would we live the same way? If we believe he is going to come next month, next week, or even tomorrow, would it change what we do today?
A woman stopped going to church for a long time. One day, the pastor visited her. She told the pastor she would not attend the church anymore. The pastor asked her why. The woman said, “I saw the women’s leaders gossiping; the elders boasting about their good deeds and acting hypocritical; the youth leaders not following our traditional worship program; church members looking at their phones in the service; and the pastors not living what they preach. So many things are going wrong. The church is not the right place for me.”
The pastor responded with Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Only God is righteous and good. Nobody is perfect, but those who trust and depend on Jesus Christ are made righteous, not through the law, but through faith in Jesus Christ. Just like a good shepherd is looking for his sheep, God is looking for us. He is waiting for your return. He alone sees our hearts and knows our weaknesses. He still loves us with an everlasting love. Many people like me will be happy to see you come back to the church. Then, the woman realized the source of her faith and came back to church.
Reflection
Are you frustrated or discouraged because Christians are not Christ-like? What does it mean to have a personal relationship with God to you?
Prayer
Dear Father God, please take control of my life. Help me be a responsible, growing member in my local church. Lord, I want an intimate, personal relationship with you. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
