ဖဲ ၂၀၁၈ လါစဲးပထ့ဘၢၣ်တသီ ယပၢၢ်ထီၣ်လၢဂီၤလၢသီ ဒီးကတိၤတၢ်လၢယပုၢ်အဒိၣ်တဂၤလၢလီတဲစိလီၤ. ယမၤ န့ၢ်တၢ်ကစီၣ်လၢယပုၢ်အဆံးတဂၤဘၣ်ဒိဘၣ်ထံး လၢသိလ့ၢ်ယီၢ်အဃိ ပလဲၤထီၣ်ဆူမီၣ်လမၠဲၣ်လီၤ. လၢသိလ့ၣ်ပူၤ ပအိၣ်ပှဲၤဒီးတၢ်ဘၣ်ယိၣ်ဘၣ်ဘီဒီးဘါထုကဖၣ်တဘျီဘၣ်တဘျီလီၤ. ဖဲပလဲၤတုၤလၢတၢ်ဆါဟံၣ်န့ၣ် ပထံၣ်ဘၣ် ပုၢ်တဂၤအမဲာ်ချံညိး အိၣ်ဒီးတၢ်ကအုကစွါဘၣ်ဒိဘၣ်ထံးအါမးလီၤ. ယသးလီၤဘှံးလီၤဘှါ ဒီးယမၤမနုၤမးတသ့ ဘၣ်. လၢခံပှၤဟဲက့ၤကိးအီၤဆူဝ့ၢ်တကူၣ်ကွဲၢ်ကဘီတၢ်ဆါဟံၣ်လီၤ. အဝဲဘၣ်တူၢ်တၢ်နးနးကျံၤကျံၤ တသီဘၣ်တ သီ ဒီးတၢ်လီၤဆီတအိၣ်ဘၣ်. ဖဲန့ၣ်ယပုၢ်အဒိၣ်သံကွၢ်ဝဲဒၣ်ကသံၣ်သရၣ်စဲမၢၣ်သၣ်, ‘‘သရၣ်ဧၢ, တဲဘၣ်ပှၤၡဲၡဲလၢ ပပုၢ်တဂၤအံၤအတၢ်ဆါတၢ်အိၣ်သး’’ ဒီးသရၣ်စဲမၢၣ်သၣ်တဲအီၤလၢ, ‘‘ကိၢ်တဂ့ၤ, အိၣ်လၢယွၤအစုပူၤ, ကစၢ်ယွၤ အိၣ်လီၤ.’’ ဖဲပုၢ်တဂၤအံၤအိၣ်လၢတၢ်ဆါဟံၣ်အခါ ပှၤအါအါဂီၢ်ဂီၢ်ဃ့ထုကဖၣ်လၢအဂီၢ်လီၤ. ဘၣ်ဆၣ်အသီတဆံ ဘျဲၣ်ဝံၤလံဘၣ်ဆၣ် တၢ်လီၤဆီတအိၣ်ဘၣ်. ဘၣ်တဟါ, ယကွၢ်ယမိယပါခံဂၤလၢအသးပှၢ်လံဒီးဘၣ်အိၣ်လၢ တၢ်ဘၣ်ယိၣ်ဘၣ်ဘီ, တၢ်မဲာ်လီၤသပှၢ်အပူၤလၢအဖိခွါအဂီၢ်လီၤ. ယနုာ်လီၤဆူဒၢးပူၤ, ချံးလီၤယခီၣ်, ဃ့ထုကဖၣ် ယွၤလၢမဲာ်ထံမဲာ်နိအပူၤလီၤ. ယတဲကစၢ်ယွၤ, ‘‘ယွၤဧၢ, သးကညီၤပှၤ, ယကွၢ်ယပုၢ်အဖိခွါယသးကညီၤ, နမ့ၢ်ကိး က့ၤအီၤဒုအမါကကဲထီၣ် မုၣ်ကမဲ, အဖိခွါဖိကကိးပၢ်တအိၣ်လၢၤဘၣ်. ပၢ်ဧၢပအိၣ်လၢနစုညါသးအပူၤလီၤ. နမ့ၢ် ဂၢ်လီၤပှၤဒီးပလီၤဂၢ်ကွံာ် ခဲလၢာ်လၢတၢ်ဖီလာ်လီၤ. နမ့ၢ်တၢၤထီၣ်ပှၤဒီးပအိၣ်လၢနစုပူၤလီၤ. မၤဘျါကွံာ်န့ၢ်ပှၤပပုၢ် တဂၤအံၤတက့ၢ်.’’ ယဃ့လၢ တၢ်နာ်လၢတၢ်ဟ့ၣ်လီၤသးနီၢ်နီၢ်လၢမဲာ်ထံအပူၤလီၤ. ကအိၣ်ခံသီဒီးပုၢ်တဂၤအံၤ လၢတၢ်တဆိကမိၣ်အပူၤ စံၣ်လီၤဘၣ်က့ၤတၢ်ဆါဟံၣ်လၢယွၤအဘျုးအဖှိၣ်ဖးဒိၣ်ဖးဒိၣ်အပူၤလီၤ. စံးထီၣ်ပတြၢၤ ၆၆:၂၀ တဲဘၣ်ပှၤ, ‘‘ယွၤလၢအတဃၣ်ဒူချၢအသးလၢယတၢ်ထုကဖၣ်, လၢအတဟံးက့ၤအဘျုးအဖှိၣ်လၢယၤ ဘၣ်တဂၤန့ၣ်, မ်အဘၣ်တၢ်စံးထီၣ်ပတြၢၤတက့ၢ်.’’

THE POWER OF PRAYER

“Peter sent them all out, and knelt down and prayed. Turning to the body, he said, “Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.”

One day in September 2018, I got up very early and spoke to my brother on the phone. I got the message that our younger brother was in a motorcycle accident. We headed to Mawlamyaing where he was. Everyone in the car was worried and we prayed together several times. When we got to hospital, we saw our brother whose face was swollen and bruised. He was moaning in pain. My heart dropped and I felt like I could do nothing. He was brought back to Yangon and was admitted to Kwe Ka Baw Hospital. He was in so much pain day after day and nothing improved. My brother asked Dr. Simon Tha about our younger brother, “Doctor, please tell us candidly about my brother’s situation.” Dr. Simon Tha replied, “Don’t worry. It is all in the hands of the Lord. God is with us.” So many people prayed for my brother while he was hospitalized. Ten days passed, but there was no sign of improvement. One evening, I looked at my aging parents who were worried sick and downcast. My heart was so heavy. I entered a room, knelt down, and prayed in tears. I told God, “God, have mercy. I feel so much sympathy for my nephew. If you take my brother, his wife will become a widow and his son will not have a dad to call Pa Pa. Father, we are in your hands. You can pour us out and we will fall to the ground. You can pick us up and heal my brother.” I prayed fervently with faith and poured out my heart in tears. Two days went by and my brother was miraculously discharged because of the abundant grace of God. Psalm 66:20 – “Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me.”
Reflection
Am I or the people in my life in need of healing? Let us bow down and pray to God!
Prayer
Dear Jesus Christ, thank you for not turning away from my prayer.
