LET US UPHOLD RIGHTEOUSNESS
Bible In A Year: 2 Samuel 20; 2 Samuel 21; Acts 8:4-40; Proverbs 14:25-35
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”

Jesus told us to uphold righteousness. The book of Proverbs tells us that righteousness exalts a nation. Jesus exemplifies the truth and righteousness to us. The righteousness of Christ is revealed to us through doing good to others, healing the sick, practicing patience, being humble, and forgiving others. But those who found faults with Jesus did not understand or accept the truth revealed by Him. These unrighteous and evil ones were arming themselves with jealousy and evil plots until they crucified Christ on the Cross. However, God exalted Christ and did not allow him to die forever. Three days after Christ’s death, God raised Him up from death to live eternally. Righteousness shines light on us and reveals the truth that Christ is the true God, who lives forever. We, the children of God, should uphold the truth and live in righteousness wherever we are. This is the will of God for us. Let us look to Jesus and humbly ask the Holy Spirit to fill each and everyone of us with God’s righteousness.

Prayer
Dear Father God, I am grateful to You. Please teach me to tell the truth and give me understanding to live in righteousness. I pray this in the name of Jesus my Lord. Amen.
