GOD’S HELP APPEARING IN SMOKE

David feared and respected God since he was young. His hope was in the Lord. By the power of God, David killed the bear and the lion that were preying on his sheep. One of David’s greatest victories we cannot forget can be found in 1 Samuel 17:45 — “Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin; but I come to you in the name of Yahweh of Armies, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.”” Again by the power of God, David defeated Goliath. David was a man of prayer who honored and praised God continually. God blessed him and made him the king of the Israelites.
In March 1997, the enemy advanced to the Myeik-Dawei area, District 4 territory. The devastating result was the fall of the revolutionary area into the hands of the enemy. I was a medic travelling with the soldiers day and night in the mountains. At one point, we were entrapped by the enemy. There was no possible way out to escape. With all my heart, I humbled myself in prayer, pleading for an escape. In a little while I saw smoke rising and spreading everywhere. The smoke was so thick and dense that we could not even see one another. Right there we were able to escape from the entrapment of the enemy. God answered my prayer with a miracle. God’s help appeared in smoke and delivered us from destruction.

Prayer
God, I am grateful to you. Your grace is so magnificent for me and I depend upon you. Because You saved my life from destruction and redeemed me, I have eternal life. God, teach me to always know and appreciate Your grace. I plead with you with the total dependence on the Name of Jesus. Amen.
