GOD’S CHOOSING

God already chose us since we were in our mother’s womb. God’s choosing is different for you and me. Some are chosen to become doctors, scientists, engineers, or other roles. Among God’s choosings is a very special calling to serve in God’s ministry.
In 2008, I was blessed with the opportunity to come to the United States. Although I was not deserving of His blessings, He brought us to the great state of Texas. Everything was new to me. Although I faced so many challenges, God never once left my side. There were only a few Karen Baptists and we gathered, worshipped, and served with the talents given to us. In December 2008, the church elders held a meeting to search for a pastor and they chose me. I never thought or hoped or dreamed about becoming a pastor in America. But, God in His sovereignty does the preparation and choosing for Himself. It was a miracle to me. God’s purpose for each of us is diverse. Wherever we are serving, let us work hard to do the work God has chosen for us.
Reflection
In what ways do you think God wants to use you? God wants to use all of us for Him. If we let Him use us with joy, both God and we will be joyful. Let us be instruments of God according to our talents.
Prayer
Dear God, help your servants You have chosen and fill them with Your spirit. Bless us so we will not use our talents in the wrong way. Instead, help us to use our talents for your glory. We pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
