“တုၤစီၤဒၤနံးယ့လးသ့ၣ်ညါဝဲလၢ တၢ်ကွဲးအသးဝံၤဒီး, လဲၤနုာ်လၢအဟံၣ်ပူၤ, ဒီးအတၢ်ထူၣ်ဖျိအိၣ်အိးထီၣ်အသးလၢ အဒၢးထီၣ်ထီတတီၤ ဖျိထီၣ်ဝဲဆူယရူၡလ့ၣ်တခီ, ဒီးချံးလီၤအခီၣ်တနံၤသၢဘျီစုာ်စုာ်, ဒီးဃ့ဘါထုကဖၣ်တၢ်, ဒီးစံးထီၣ်ပတြၢၤ တၢ်အဘျုးအဖှိၣ်လၢ အကစၢ်အမဲာ်ညါ, ဒ်အမၤဝဲလၢအခီၣ်ထံးအသိးန့ၣ်လီၤ.”

A BELIEVER’S PRAYER 

Bible in a Year: Daniel 5:17-31, Daniel 6:1-28; 1 John 1, 1 John 2; Psalm 136:1-12

“When Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house (now his windows were open in his room toward Jerusalem) and he kneeled on his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before.”

Daniel always communicated with God through prayers. Even though he was always praising God, he experienced evil schemes as well as trials and temptations. The trials that he went through cemented his faith in God. Moreover, it also allowed people around him to see the nature of the God that he worshipped. Daniel only had two choices. He could choose to save his own life by ceasing his prayer and daily fellowship with God or he could choose to be true to God and be thrown into the lion’s den. Daniel did not hesitate. He chose to continue his daily prayers and worshipping God. Through this, even the king saw and came to accept that Daniel’s God is the true living God who endures forever, whose kingdom will never be destroyed, and whose rule will never end. He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.

As believers, we always pray and have fellowship with our LORD. But what happens when you face difficulties and worries in life? Do you start to waver and feel like pausing your fellowship with God? If that is the case, you should re-examine your heart. Let us strengthen and deepen our faith in God whom we worship by having fellowship with Him, praying, worshipping and praising Him always. This will allow us to overcome things in life and to become a testimony of God’s glory to many people.

Reflection

What should we do so we do not question and deny our Lord when we go through trials? Do you remember God’s grace and praise Him each and every day of your life?

Prayer

Dear Lord, teach us so that as your children we will have fellowship with You, we will be true to You, and our faith in You will not waver. May we always count your blessings on us and may we live our lives reflecting Your glory.
