TEACH ME THE WAY OF YOUR STATUTES

The truth in the Bible reminds us how to live and how to keep our hearts as Christians. This Psalm teaches us that those who love the Lord live a life that always searches the truth and abides in the will of God. They entrust their lives in the hands of God and let the word of God instruct how they are supposed to live. We are all travellers on earth. I was born in Myanmar and I worked there. Later, I got to live in Japan and then God brought me to the United States. The One who knows the future and who can do everything is God. That is why I asked myself in whose strength I would journey on earth. If I were to depend on my own strength, there is no denying I would be a lost traveller. That is why I decided to entrust my life in the mighty hands of the Lord.
Life is also like a warzone in which we fight physically and spiritually. Again, if we were to depend on our own strength, how could we defend ourselves from the enemies? Had it not been for God, there would never be victory. Instead, we would not only be lost, but ended up in destructive ways. Just as the Psalmist said, entrusting our lives in the hands of God, searching for the truth of God, and seeking to understand God’s will are pleasing to God.
Reflection
How is the way of God’s statues coming alive in your life? Just as the Psalmist asked the Lord to be in His life, let us allow the Holy Spirit to rule our lives now and forever so that the truth of God’s word will be alive within us.
Prayer
Father, teach me to love you and keep your statutes. As I travel on earth, may Your Holy Hands guide me and may You grant me victory over the daily battles in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
