HE WILL DO IT AT THE RIGHT TIME

March 25, 2004, a few days after we got married, we had a plan to visit my mother and some friends in Beik (Myeik) and Dawei area. There will be costs associated with travel, so we prayed for God’s provision and went. While we were waiting at the bus station to go to Myeik and Dawei, my wife stepped on something on the ground and it turned out to be 2000 Thai Bahts. This money was of great help for our trip. There were so many travelers at the bus station, but the Lord prepared the money we needed on the ground. When it is the right time, God will surely do it.
After we came back from visiting family and friends, we got ready to start our career as evangelists. We spoke to the director of the evangelist association in the Thai border area and he took us to a very small Karen village. They had no electricity or running water and there was only one family of believers. The director asked me whether I was up for the task and I answered him, “Yes.” When he asked my wife, her face fell. He told us to wait to hear from him and that he would contact us in a month. We waited one month but heard no word from him. We continued to pray for the direction from the Lord. Within a few days, a friend of mine from the Bible school contacted me. They were planning to open a new Bible school and wanted me to teach at the school. I went to visit the Bible school that evening and got the job that same evening. I did not have to fill out an application or go through the interview. When it is the right time, God will do it.
Reflection
Are you facing something that makes you feel hopeless? When we feel hopeless, let’s surrender to God and give Him total control. When we are at the end of our wits, we can pray to God and He will make a way beyond our comprehension.
Prayer
Dear God, I thank you for providing for my need when I reached the end of the rope. Please guide me and give me a heart that is more willing to obey you until the end of time. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
