ခရံာ်မ့ၢ်တဟဲလီၤလၢဟီၣ်ခိၣ်ချၢဒီးမ့ၢ်အိၣ်ဒၣ်ထဲမူခိၣ်ဘီမုၢ်အဃိ, ကမ့ၢ်တၢ်အမုာ်လၢအဂီၢ်လီၤ. သနာ်က့ ကစၢ်ခရံာ်တူၢ်လိာ် မူဒါလၢပၢ်ဟ့ၣ်အီၤဒီးဟ့ၣ်လီၤအသးလၢပှၤတၢ်ဒဲးဘးဖိအဂီၢ်န့ၣ်လီၤ. ခရံာ်စံးဝဲ, “ယပၢ်ဧၢ, တၢ်လၢလီခီအံၤလဲၤပူၤကွံာ်ယၤမ့ၢ်သ့ဒီး, မ်အလဲၤပူၤကွံာ်ယၤတက့ၢ်. ဘၣ်ဆၣ်ဒီးဖဲဒၣ်ယသးတမ့ၢ်ဘၣ်. မ့ၢ်ဖဲဒၣ်နသးလီၤ” (မးသဲ ၂၆:၃၉). ကစၢ်ခရံာ်ဟ့ၣ်လီၤအသးလၢပၢ်အစုပူၤခဲလၢာ် လၢတၢ်အမ့ၢ်တၢ်အတီန့ၣ်လီၤ.
မ့ၢ်ပဃုတၢ်စိတၢ်ကမီၤ, တၢ်လီၢ်တၢ်လၤ, ထဲလၢ ပဘျုးဒၣ်ပဝဲအဂီၢ်ဧါ. မ့မ့ၢ်တခီ ပကျဲးစၢးဟ့ၣ်လီၤပသးလၢ တၢ်အမ့ၢ်အတီလၢယွၤအဘီမုၢ်အဂီၢ်ဧါ. စီၤပီလူးစံးဝဲ ‘‘ဒီပုၢ်ဝဲၢ်သ့ၣ်ဧၢ,ယစံးတၢ်အံၤတၢ်သွံၣ်ဒီးတၢ်ညၣ်န့ၣ် န့ၢ်ဘၣ်သါယွၤအဘီအမုၢ် တသ့ဘၣ်ဒီး တၢ်အုၣ်သံန့ၢ်ဘၣ်သါ တၢ်တအုၣ်သံဘၣ်န့ၣ်တသ့ဘၣ်” (၁ ကရံၣ်သူး ၁၅:၅၀). တၢ်ဖံးတၢ်ညၣ် လၢအတၤတၢ်ဒီး ပှၤသ့ၣ်တဖၣ်, တၢ်တြီဆၢဒီၣ်တဲာ်ကွံာ်အီၤမ့ၢ်န့ၢ်ဒီး ကမ့ၢ်ဝဲ တၢ်မ့ၢ်တၢ်တီ အတၢ်လၤကပီၤန့ၣ်လီၤ.

TRUE SACRIFICE

After the British surrendered and the American Revolutionary War was over, General George Washington was elected to become the first president to govern the new country. There were interests all over the world in what kind of president he would be and if he would uphold the dignity of human rights and the principle of freedom. At that time, George Washington could have just gone back home to the vast land his family owned in Virginia and enjoyed a life of honor. After all, America was an infant, facing monstrous hurdles, instability, and uncertainties. George Washington knew he would have to deal with unprecedented ordeals. However, George Washington accepted the presidential responsibilities out of his sense of duty for his country. That was a true sacrifice.
If Jesus Christ had chosen to stay in heaven, it would have been nice and painless for Him. But, Christ accepted the responsibilities His Father gave Him. That was a true sacrifice to wash away the sins of the world. Christ even said, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire” (Matthew 26:39). Christ submitted himself fully to His Father as a true sacrifice.
Do we seek power and honor just for our own benefits? Or do we submit ourselves as a true sacrifice for God’s Kingdom? Paul said, “Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can’t inherit God’s Kingdom; neither does the perishable inherit imperishable” (1 Corinthians 15:50). The flesh that challenges us must be eliminated to submit ourselves as a true sacrifice for God’s glory.
Reflection
Are you able to drink from the cup that Jesus drank? Are you able to be baptized with the baptism Jesus was baptized? Deliverance from the flesh and blood is a mystery and a formidable challenge to us, but it is also a precious promise given through a true sacrifice on the cross for eternal life.
Prayer
Lord, please deliver me from the oppression of the flesh and blood. Please grant me the power and the heart that is willing to submit myself to you as a true sacrifice. I pray in the precious Name of Jesus. Amen.
