CONSIDER GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE FOR YOU

I was born in Tannintharyi Division, Gaserdoh District, under the control of Brigade 4. With parents, two sisters and one brother, we are a family of six. I am the oldest child. Our family worshipped Buddhism. I grew up among Christians, and therefore became familiar with the word of God. When I got older, I had a change of heart and got baptized. Among my family members, I was the first to be baptized, followed by my parents and later, all my siblings. For that I am very thankful to God. In 1995, I attended Bible school in Mason Karen Baptist Seminary in Kawthoolei and finished my first year of study well. In 1996, the enemy invaded our region. Our school was destroyed and we were all scattered. The school was relocated to a refugee camp in 1998-1999. I continued my second year of study there and finished well. During the school break before the third year of school began, I got married and did not return to the school. I worked in the sea as a laborer to provide for my family. The Thai government arrested workers from Burma and we were sent back to Myawaddy. I had to find a way to get back to my village, which was very far and it cost a lot of money.
Later, because of God’s plan, after staying in the refugee camp for a few years, big and rich countries invited us and I arrived in the United States in 2006. In 2018, I graduated from Karen Theological Study Center of Karen Baptist Churches in the USA (KBCUSA), located in Minnesota. I am over 40 years old. I have never heard of anyone like me, who attended three Bible schools in three places. Now, I am serving in God’s ministry in the Center South Region of KBCUSA. God has done great things for me. I have been through fire and water, but God brought me to the place of abundance. 1 Samuel 12:24 tells us, “Only fear Yahweh, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.”
Reflection
Do you feel discouraged because you put so much effort into something but have not seen any result? Consider what great things God has done for you and trust Him to do great things for you again in His own time.

God, please help me so I know to count and testify of the great things You have done for me. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
