စိၤဒီးဆၢကတီၢ်တဖၣ် ပာ်ဖျါထီၣ်တ့ၢ်အသးလၢ တၢ်ထီဒါယွၤခီဖျိ ပှၤဟီၣ်ခိၣ်ဖိတဖၣ် ပာ်စိပာ်ကမီၤနာ်လီၤအသး လၢအတၢ်ကူၣ်သ့လီၤ. တၢ်န့ၣ်အဃိ ကစၢ်ယွၤစံၣ်ညီၣ်အဝဲသ့ၣ်တဘျီဘၣ်တဘျီလီၤ. ဘၣ်ဆၣ် သးလၢအကြၢး ဃၣ်ကဒါက့ၤအသးဆူ ယွၤအအိၣ်န့ၣ် လီကစၢ်ယွၤတဘျီဘၣ်တဘျီ တုၤလီၤလၢစိၤဆၢကတီၢ်အံၤဒၣ်လဲာ်န့ၣ်လီၤ. ဒ်န့ၣ်အသိး ဖဲစီၤဒၤရယါဝ့ၣ် ပၢတၢ်အကတီၢ် ဖဲစီၤစကၤရယၤ ယွၤအကလုၢ်ဘၣ်အီၤအကတီၢ်န့ၣ် တၢ်ထီဒါယွၤ အိၣ်ဝဲအါမးလၢ ဟီၣ်ခိၣ်အတၢ်ကူၣ်သ့ကူၣ်ဘၣ်ဒီးတၢ်ပာ်ထီၣ်ထီသးလီၤ. အဃိ စကၤရယၤဘၣ်ဟ့ၣ်ပလီၢ် ပှၤဂီၢ်မုၢ်, “ဃၣ်ကွံာ်သုသးလၢ ကျဲအအၢဒီး သုမၤတၢ်အၢန့ၣ်တက့ၢ်” (စကၤရယၤ ၁:၄). ဃၤဒြးဒီးဒၤမ့ၤစ့း အၢသီလၢယွၤအမဲာ်ညါဆံးဒိၣ်လဲၣ်န့ၣ်, ယွၤအနီၢ်ကစၢ်ဘၣ်ထီဒါဒီး သိၣ်ဃီၣ်ဒုးအိၣ်ဘှံးဝဲအီၤ တုၤအဂဲၤဆၢထၢၣ် တသ့ဘၣ်န့ၣ်လီၤ.

စိၤခ့ခါဆၢကတီၢ်အံၤစ့ၢ်ကီးဖျါဝဲ ဒ်ဝံစကၤရယၤစံးဝဲအသိးလီၤ. တၢ်ထီဒုၣ်ထီဒါ, တၢ်လီတၢ်ဝ့ၤ, ပှၤအါဂၤဟဲလၢ ယွၤအမံၤဒီး ကမၤတၢ်လီၤလးတဖၣ်အဃိ ပဝဲလၢအမ့ၢ်ပှၤစူၢ်က့ၤနာ်က့ၤပကစၢ်ယ့ၣ်ၡူးခရံာ်တဖၣ် ပကပျဲ ခရံာ် အသး ပၢၤဃာ်ပတၢ်အိၣ်မူဒီး ပကအံးက့ၤကွၢ်က့ၤကဟုဘံၣ်ကယာ်ဘၢက့ၤ သိဖိတဖၣ်လၢတၢ်အိၣ်ဖှိၣ်အပူၤတက့ၢ်.

BE RESOLUTE AND LIVE AFTER GOD’S DESIRES

“A revelation. Yahweh’s word is against the land of Hadrach, and will rest upon Damascus; for the eye of man and of all the tribes of Israel is toward Yahweh.”

Age after age and generation after generation, we see humans’ rebellion against God by placing their confidence in the power of their wisdom. That is why God’s judgment falls upon them from time to time. But, the deceiving heart that needs to change and turn back to God continues to lie to God up until today. When King Darius was ruling and God was speaking through Zechariah, rebellion against God was rampant due to pride and reliance on worldly wisdom. That was the reason why Zechariah had to warn the people in Zechariah 1:4, “Don’t you be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying: Yahweh of Armies says, ‘Return now from your evil ways, and from your evil doing;’ but they did not hear, nor listen to me, says Yahweh.” Hadrach and Damascus were following evil ways so severely that God had to discipline them and put them down until they could not get back up.

When we also read Zechariah 10:3, we will find that the anger of God is kindled against the shepherds. Why? Their most important job was to care for God’s flocks. Without proper care, the flocks would face troubles. But the shepherds, who were supposed to care for the flocks, used them to fight for them like horses not taken care of by their owners. God was angry at the shepherds because He could not trust them to care for and guide His flocks to Him. To care for and feed the sheep fully and perfectly, God Himself had to come down and sacrifice His life.

In this time, we see rebellions and evil deeds just like in the time of Zechariah. Many come in the Name of God and perform miracles to lead our flocks astray. Those who are believers in Jesus Christ must let Christ rule in our hearts and lives so we will take good care of the flocks in our churches.

Reflection

What kind of worldly wisdom that rebels against God are we facing today?
What kinds of shepherds are like those that provoked the wrath of God in the time of Zechariah?

Prayer

Dear God, let us not be fooled into false teaching that would put doubts in our faith! Instead, help us to live a life fruitful for You until You come back the second time.
