ဖဲယသးအိၣ်ခွံနံၣ်န့ၣ်, ယဟံၣ်ဖိဃီဖိဘၣ်ကွၢ်ဆၢၣ်မဲာ်ဒီးတၢ်ကီတၢ်ခဲ ခီဖျိ ယပၢ်ဟဲက့ၤလီၤလၢကစၢၢ်ခိၣ်ဒီး  ဒိးန့ၢ်ဘၣ်တၢ်ညၣ်ဂိၢ်ဒီး မၤအီၣ်တၢ်တကဲအဃိ ယဘၣ်ဟးထီၣ်ကၠိဒီးလဲၤမၤတၢ်လၢပှၤဟံၣ်န့ၣ်လီၤ. ဘၣ်တနံၤ, ဖံတဂၤဟဲပၢၢ်ထီၣ်ဒီး တဲဝဲလၢ ပှၤသးလီပှၤမၤတၢ်ဖိအဃိ ယလဲၤပိာ်ထီၣ်အခံလီၤ. ယလဲၤမၤတၢ်လၢကသံၣ်သရၣ် တဂၤအဟံၣ်လီၤ. ဒ်အမ့ၢ်ကသံၣ်သရၣ်အသိး ပှၤဆူးပှၤဆါတဖၣ် ဟဲဝဲဆူ အဟံၣ်စ့ၢ်ကီးလီၤ. ဘၣ်တနံၤ, ပှၤဆါဟဲလၢခိခံဂၤဟဲစိာ်ဝဲ ဆီ, ဆီဒံၣ်ဒီးညၣ်ဃ့ဖိတဖၣ်လီၤ. ယတဲဘၣ်အဝဲသ့ၣ်လၢ သရၣ်ကဟဲက့ၤလၢ တဆံခံနၣ်ရံၣ်ဒီးအိၣ်ခိးဝဲလီၤ. တုၤသရၣ်ဟဲက့ၤဒီးထံၣ်ပှၤတဖၣ်အခါ အမဲာ်တမုာ်ဘၣ်. ဘၣ်ဆၣ်ကွၢ်ဝဲလီၤ. ပှၤက့ၤဝံၤဒီးတဲယၤ ‘‘လၢခံပှၤဆါမ့ၢ်ဟဲတဲဘၣ်လၢကသံၣ်သရၣ်ဘၣ်ကွဲးတၢ်အဃိမုၢ်ဆါခီတဟဲက့ၤဘၣ်.’’ ယတိၢ်နီၣ်ဃာ်လီၤ. လၢခံတဘျီပှၤဆါလၢအကတိၤပာ်တၢ်လၢအီၤတဖၣ်ဟဲဝဲလီၤ. မ့ၢ်ဝ့ၢ်ခိၣ် (တိုင်းမှူး) အမါ, ဟဲသိးဒီးထူကတြ့ၢ်ကတြိာ်, ဟဲစိာ်တၢ်ဟ့ၣ်တဖၣ်, သိ, တၢ်အီၣ်တဖၣ်, ဘၣ်ဆၣ်ယတတူၢ်လိာ်ဘၣ်. ယတဲ ဒ်ယဟံၣ်ကစၢ်တဲတ့ၢ်ယၤအသိးလီၤ.  အဝဲဟဲက့ၤဒီးသံကွၢ်ယၤ “မတၤမးတဟဲဧဲၢ်.” ယတဲအီၤတၢ်ဂ့ၢ်တၢ်ကျိၤ ခဲလၢာ်ဒီးဒူကဒီးယလိၤလီၤ. တၢ်ဘၣ်ဒိယၤတမုာ်ဘၣ်. ဘၣ်ဆၣ်, ယတချုးဟဲလီၤန့ၣ်ယပၢ်မၤလိာ်ယၤလၢ ‘‘အိၣ်မူတီတီလိၤလိၤ, တဲတၢ်တီတီလိၤလိၤ, လီတၢ်တဂ့ၤ, ကစၢ်ယွၤကဆိၣ်ဂ့ၤနၤလီၤ.’’ ယသးခုလၢယတမၤတၢ် ကဘျံးကဘျၣ်အဃိလီၤ. မ့ၢ်တၢ်ဘျုးတၢ်ဖှိၣ်တမံၤ ခီဖျိယထီၣ်ဘၣ်အိၣ်ဘှံးနံၤတၢ်မၤလိ, ဖးလံာ်စီဆှံဒီးဘါထုကဖၣ် ဘၣ်တၢ်အဃိန့ၣ်လီၤ. ယမၤလိဘၣ်ယွၤအတၢ်သိၣ်တၢ်သီဒီး တၢ်အဲၣ်ယွၤန့ၣ်မ့ၢ်တၢ်ဒိကနၣ်အီၤလီၤ.

JOY IN TRUTH

When I was nine, my family faced an unexpected hardship. After coming back from the mountain serving in the Karen National Army, my father suffered from malaria, which left him unable to support our family. This situation led me to quit school and work as a housemaid. I followed a lady who took me to my work place. I worked for a doctor’s family. One day, a patient from a village brought oil, eggs, and dried fish to the doctor’s house. I told them the doctor would come back at noon, so they waited. Upon returning home, the doctor was unhappy when he saw the patient waiting. Nevertheless, he provided medical care for this patient. Afterward, the doctor told me, “Next time when patients come, tell them the doctor is busy in the operating room and will not come back.” I heeded what he said. Next time, there was a patient who was a mayor. He came with his wife wearing lots of jewelry dripping in gold. They also brought many gifts and eateries. I did not allow them to come in and gave them the message the doctor previously instructed me to give. When the doctor came back, he asked me if anyone came by. I told him about the mayor’s visit. He got mad at me for not letting them in and scolded me. I was hurt by it. However, before I left home to work, my father told me, “Live and speak truthfully. Do not lie. God will bless you.” Thinking about how I listen to my father brought joy to me. It is by grace that I got to attend Sunday School, read the scripture, and pray. I learned about God’s law, and loving God means obeying Him.
