GOD PERFORMS MIRACLES BEYOND HUMAN’S IMAGINATION

Bible in a Year: Isaiah 33, Isaiah 34, Isaiah 35; Galatians 1; Psalm 107:10-22

“Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man!”  
Psalm 107:8 ESV

God performs many wondrous works in our lives. We also read in the Bible the many wondrous works of God for the Isaraelites in the exodus from Egypt to the entry into Canaan, especially when they encountered the enemies. The Psalmist himself experienced the miracles of God in his life and expressed his praises to the God, who has always been good to humans. God’s goodness is true and everlasting. 

I came from a family who made a living from farming. I was just an average student in school. I did not possess any superior talents either. I grew up in a village and lived a very ordinary life. But, I always felt the wondrous works of God in my life. I get to do the work I never dreamed of, which is serving in His mission work. Considering I lack distinctive skills in leadership or speech, never did I imagine I would be one of the leaders who serve on the leadership team of Pathein-Myaung Mya Karen Baptist Association. However, God chooses me and helps me step by step. Just as Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”  1 Corinthians 1:27 tells us “But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong.”  Just like the Psalmist, I praise God for His wondrous works for me beyond human’s imagination. 

Reflection

Why do I need to praise God? Why does God use me although I am full of weaknesses?

Prayer

God, thank you for using me through Your wondrous works. Please help me to praise You and serve You faithfully to the end. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
