DON’T WORRY, DON’T FEAR

“Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.”

Do you hear God calling you to His service? Is there something getting in the way of you being in His service? Worries and fears are usually what make us step backward and prevent us from serving God. When I heard God calling me to serve Him, I was very worried and fearful. I was worried others would criticize me or think of me in negative ways. I was fearful I would not know what to do and I would make wrong decisions in ministry. I had no abilities. I thought very lowly of myself. These get in the way of serving God for me. But, when I read this scripture, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you,” I believed God was speaking to me directly, encouraging me, and giving me courage to serve Him. One thing left for me to do is to put my trust in Him. God’s promises are for all of us. Let us not be so worrisome and fearful to the point where they would make us step backward! God is with us at all times.

Prayer
Dear God, Thank you for your promise of never forsaking us. You will be with us and go with us. Give us the heart to fully love and trust in You in our lives. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
