တဘျီဖဲယနီၢ်ဆံးအခါယသးအိၣ်ဒၣ်ထဲယဲၢ်နံၣ်အဆၢကတီၢ်, ဒီးတနၤဖဲဖးဖီမုၢ်အဆၢကတီၢ်န့ၣ်, တၢ်သီၣ်ထီၣ် လီၤပျံၤလီၤဖုး, ဒ်သိးစုကဝဲၤကျိအသီၣ်ဒီးပှၤဟီၣ်သီၣ်ဝဲဘူးဒီးပဟံၣ်ကပၤလီၤ. ဒီးပှၤဒိတကျိာ်တြဲၤသီၣ်လၢပဟံၣ်မဲာ် ညါ, ဒီးဖဲန့ၣ်ယမိၢ်လဲၤအိးထီၣ်တြဲၤဒီးထံၣ်ဝဲဖိသၣ်ပိာ်မုၣ်တဂၤ, ကအိၣ်ဃုနံၣ်, ဒီးပိာ်ခွါဖိတဂၤ, အသးကအိၣ်ထဲ အနံၣ်တဆံလီၤ. ဒီပုၢ်ဝဲၢ်ခံဂၤကနိးကစုာ်, ပျံၤတၢ်ဒီးဟဲဃ့ၢ်အိၣ်ခူသူၣ်ဒီးစံးဝဲဒၣ် ‘‘ပှၤဟဲမၤသံယမိၢ်ဒီးယဒီပုၢ်ဝဲၢ်မုၢ် လီၤ.’’ ဒီးယမိၢ်ကးတံၢ်က့ၤတြဲၤ, ဟဲကိးနုာ်အီၤဆူပဟံၣ်ပူၤ, ဒီးပဆ့ၣ်နီၤအိၣ်ဘှ့ၣ်ဆုးလီၤသကိးပသးလီၤ. ယမိၢ်တဲဝဲပှၤလၢ ‘‘ဒိကနၣ်တၢ်’’ ဒီးယမိဃ့ဘါထုကဖၣ်လၢယွၤကသွံဒံ, ‘‘ကစၢ်ယွၤဧၢ, မၤပူၤဖျဲးဘၣ်ပှၤဖိသၣ် ခံဂၤ, ဒီးပဝဲစ့ၢ်ကီးဒ်သိးပသုတဘၣ်တၢ်နီတမံၤအဂီၢ်န့ၣ်တက့ၢ်.’’ မ့ၢ်လၢပဒိကနၣ်တၢ်ဒီးယသ့ၣ်ညါလၢကစၢ်ယွၤ မၤစၢၤပှၤလီၤ. ယသ့ၣ်ညါလၢတၢ်ဒိကနၣ်ကစၢ်ယွၤအကလုၢ်န့ၣ်ဟဲစိာ်တၢ်ဆိၣ်ဂ့ၤဒီးတၢ်ဒီသဒၢလီၤ. ပတပျံၤ ဘၣ်တၢ်ဘၣ်န့ၣ်လီၤ. စီၤယိၤဘးမ့ၢ်ပှၤလၢအဒိကနၣ်ကစၢ်ယွၤအတၢ်မၤလိာ်လီၤ. လၢခံကစၢ်ယွၤဆိၣ်ဂ့ၤ က့ၤအီၤအါအါဂီၢ်ဂီၢ်တုၤဒၣ်လဲာ်, လီၤလီၤဆီဆီ, အကျါတခါမ့ၢ်ဝဲ လၢဟီၣ်ခိၣ်အံၤပှၤဃံလၤဒ်သိးစီၤယိၤဘး အဖိမုၣ်တအိၣ်နီတဂၤဘၣ်န့ၣ်လီၤ. ဖဲအံၤပသ့ၣ်ညါဘၣ်လၢယွၤဟ့ၣ်တၢ်ညီ, ဟ့ၣ်တၢ်အါ, ဒိၣ်ဒိၣ်မုၢ်မုၢ်န့ၣ်လီၤ. စီၤယိၤဘးအိၣ်ဒီး တၢ်ဒိကနၣ်, တၢ်ပလီၢ်သးအဃိ, ကစၢ်ယွၤအိၣ်ဒီးအီၤလီၤ. LISTEN
Bible in A Year: Job 35, Job 36, Job 37; Matthew 24:1-31; Proverbs 4:1-9

I was five years old. It was midnight. I heard frightening noises of clamor and weapons firing near our house. Then, we heard someone banging loudly on the door. My mother opened the door and saw a young girl, about six-years old, and a boy, maybe 10 years old. The two siblings, trembling with fear, were looking for a hiding place. Sobbing and catching their breath, they said, “They killed my mother and sister.” My mother immediately let them in and shut the door. We sat around and lowered our heads. My mother told us to ‘listen’ and she started praying in whispers, “God, please protect these two children and us so none of us will be harmed.” We listened and knew God would help us. We knew that listening to God brings blessings and protection. There was no need to be fearful. Job obeyed God. Later, God blessed him abundantly. Even strangely, God blessed him with daughters so beautiful that no one could find more beautiful women in the whole land than his. That is how generous our God is. Job listened and was heedful, and God was with him. We read in Matthew 24:13, “But he who endures to the end will be saved.” Obeying God is a prerequisite to standing firm to the end.

Dear God, I am grateful to you. Even in the midst of affliction and temptations, You give me strength in secret to listen to You and I am thankful. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
