ONE-SIDED LOVE

As Karens, our lives, faith and experiences are filled with God’s one-sided love and blessings. Although we are unable to fully obey God’s Word, He does not destroy us. And because of the many kinds of oppression that our forefathers had to suffer, they had to move frequently and finally ended up in the United States of America. Psalm 33:12 says that, “Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.” As God blessed Abraham – every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours, God arranged innumerous inheritance for us as well.
God’s arrangement for those of us at Syracuse Karen Baptist Church is unique in such a way that we get to worship at a venue that used to be a nightclub. Through this we were able to witness the restoration of a place of iniquity into a place of worship and holiness. If this were not for God’s one-sided love, how could we have received this opportunity and blessing? May the Lord’s name be praised forevermore.
For us to receive eternal blessings, Proverbs 1:7 says that, “The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.” Therefore, as people who have been loved with a one-sided love by God, may we be wise and acknowledge Him in all our ways.

Prayer
Lord, help me in my life, in the work of my hands, and in the steps that I take. May my heartfelt thoughts be pleasing to You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
