REMEMBER YOUR DREAM

“Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed about them, and said to them, “You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land.””

For many years, Joseph forgot his dream, but when he saw his family, he remembered his dream instantly, and made planning step by step to realize his dream.
After graduating, I wanted to go to the seminary. I even dreamed about it. My father had diabetes and could no longer work. Who would pay for my seminary expenses? Every Sunday, I talked to God in secret about my desires and obstacles before the morning service at 7 AM began and people had yet to arrive. But, my mind was telling me, “You must work. You must help your father.” I felt merciful towards my father, so I started working as a teacher. I was an employee of the government for 27 years. I was not the employee of God. I was like a kite that was flown with the long string. I soared so far away that it became a concern for the one who flew the kite. Worrying the string would break and the kite would be lost, he had to rewind the kite wheels. Just like that, God had to rewind my string vigorously, because my string strayed too long. Actually, it made my head spin when I saw the condition of my family. I then remembered my dream. I quit my government job and went to the seminary. I became God’s servant for Him to use me as His vessel.
Reflection
What do you think is the dream God planned for you? Do you forget about this dream?
Although you may forget about the dream God plans for you, He does not forget.He will rewind your string and make you remember your dream in ways that are beyond your understanding. Your head will spin, but in the end, God will use you.
Prayer
Father God, let us dream and see the plans you have for us. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
