REMEMBER HIS GRACE

This bible verse reminds me of my life’s past experiences on this earth. I would like to share a testimony about the truth of God’s grace that has been shown in my life. I shall never forget God’s grace. It forever is ingrained in my head.
In the month of May, 1999, I left my house without my parent’s permission. I left with eight other young adults. Halfway on our journey, we were stopped and unable to proceed any further. Many of my companions turned back home. I could not bring myself to return like they did due to the fear of my dad that overwhelmed me. I learned that my father’s relatives lived in the place where I was stuck. I found them and stayed in their home. Unfortunately, one of the villagers there accused me of being a Burman spy. He would constantly keep an eye on me, making me feel uncomfortable and fearful. This man was stalking me and watching me closely. I knew being accused as a spy was an invitation to danger and even death.
With fear and trembling, I prayed fervently to God to get me out of that place. I asked God to take me to Thailand, a place I had been wanting to go. Out of nowhere, one of my uncles, who was a forest administrator, appeared with a soldier. I followed them to Thailand. To me, that was God’s answer to my prayer. God opened a path for me to escape danger and that is why I am still living today. His holy hand carried me through and gave me life.
Therefore, let us not forget the good that has been done in our lives and the ones who did the deeds. The chief cup bearer did not remember Joseph. He forgot Joseph. Let us not be like the chief cupbearer who easily forgets. Let us remember the God who has poured out His grace and mercy to us each day.

Heavenly Father, I am living today because of your grace. Please guide me with your mighty hand in the future, both near and far. Please teach me never to forget your grace. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
