GOD CAN HEAL ALL ILLNESSES

King Hezekiah became so ill to the point of death. Prophet Isaiah brought a message from God to King Hezekiah that he would die and needed to set his house in order. The king wept bitterly. God had mercy on the king and told Isaiah to “take a cake of figs and lay it for a poultice on the boil” and he would get well. King Hezekiah recovered and lived for 15 years. It was God Who healed the king. 

Ten years ago, I had cancer that was already spreading to other parts of my body. The surgery did not seem very promising. But, God did not see it that way. I was put on an operation table and right before I fell asleep, God spoke to me through a hymn, “No Never Alone”, in Karen language. The words of the song said, “I will not leave you alone. I promise I will never leave you alone.” God promised me He would be with me. The operation went well. I had eight rounds of chemotherapy. Today, I am still serving God. God can heal all kinds of illnesses and He is true to His promises. Whether you have physical and spiritual illnesses, God can heal you. The God in whom we put our hope is the One Who gives us strength.

Reflection

There is no sickness God cannot heal. For whom would you need to pray for healing today?

Prayer

Dear God, You can heal us from all illnesses. I put my life in your hands. Please heal those who are suffering from all kinds of illnesses. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
