KEY TO SUCCESS

Proverbs 9:1-12
“For you are a holy people to Yahweh your God, and Yahweh has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.”

(1) Proverbs 9:9-10 – “Instruct a wise person, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous person, and he will increase in learning. The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” We read in Tharah T Than Bya’s book, A.D. 1824-1854 – The Karen and Persecution, that when the Karen found their own written language, they valued it very much. Karens also feared God and loved scripture. Our parents and grandparents worked hard and more Karen literature was published. In 1853, the Old Testament and the New Testament were combined, and a whole Bible became available. We thank God for giving us precious foreparents.
(2) Luke 13:30 – “Behold, there are some who are last who will be first, and there are some who are first who will be last.” We also read in another book written by Tharah T Than Bya, – The Karen and Progress, that we received the Gospel and it opened our eyes. We were also recognized as a nation after the English conquered lower Burma. It’s time for our Karen Baptists, especially the ones in the USA, to know God sent us here and we are to witness for Christ. Let us offer valuable services to God’s kingdom work wherever the Karen Christians settle. May all be for God’s glory! It is only by God’s grace that we are still in the service to God. Let us not be idle in His service!
Reflection
There is pressure everywhere, but God’s hands are never too short. The storms do not last forever, but God’s grace lasts forever.

God, motivate our people and help us to be like-minded. Let us be Your chosen people who bring glory to You! Let us be steadfast in our faith.
