I thank God for this opportunity to share with you about my life experiences. In 1984, I visited Thee Roh Tah, which is where the Thee Roh Klo River crosses the big Salween River. There was rain and a flood at that time. The Salween River overflowed into Thee Roh Klo River. I went for a swim although I could not swim. I started sinking and I cried out for help, but no sound came out because water poured into my mouth and I drank it to my fill. The current took me away and I ended up at a place where boats were tied together. My head popped up above the water one more time and I grabbed the tail of a boat. I tried with all my might to bring myself out of the water. I could not breath very well. I thought if it was time to die, this was it. However, once I was on the ground, I knew God was with me and helped me, I did not die.
On May 9, 1991, I got baptized. In 1994, a desire within me arose to go to Bible School. I met with two friends who already graduated from Bible School and I asked them to pray for me. I also got out of the house, went up on a mountain, read the scripture, fasted and prayed. After doing that for three times, I ended up getting into a refugee camp in 1995. I arrived in Mae Kaw Kah refugee camp in May when the Bible school started a new school year. I got to go to Gho Loh Klo Bible School; I was married with two sons, Saw Htoo Htoo Soe and Saw Htoo Blood. God blessed our family. God answered my prayers. I studied in Bible School for three years. I am counting God’s blessings. I did not die. I am still alive and I get to serve Him until today. No matter what I faced in the past, now I always see God’s abundant love and blessings for me. God lets me see and delight in His miraculous salvation.
