‘‘ဒီးတုၤစီၤမိၤၡ့လဲၤနုာ်လၢတၢ်အိၣ်ဖှိၣ်အဒဲပူၤ, ဒ်သိးအကကတိၤတၢ်ဒီးအီၤဒီး, နၢ်ဟူဝဲလၢတၢ်ကလုၢ်ကတိၤတၢ်ဒီ; အီၤလၢတၢ်မၤပူၤဖျဲးအလီၢ်အဖီခိၣ် လၢအအိၣ်လၢတၢ်အၢၣ်လီၤအီလီၤအတလါအဖီခိၣ် လၢခ့ရူာ်ခံဂၤအဘၢၣ်စၢၤ, ဒီးကတိၤဝဲဒီးအီၤလီၤ.’’

PERSPECTIVE
Bible in A Year: Numbers 7:66-89, Numbers 8, Numbers 9:1-14 ;

We humans have different perspectives. We may see the same thing at the same time, but our interpretations vary due to different perspectives, contributed by diverse life experiences, religion, and education. In Numbers 13:25-33, we read about the 12 spies and their reports about the Promised Land. They went to the same land and the same nation, but their reports differed slightly in words. The slight difference, however, was significant for those who heard it. In fact, it was so significant that it produced the result of a forty-year wandering in the wilderness. To look at the different perspectives more closely, let us read Numbers 13:30-31, “Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, “Let’s go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it!” But the men who went up with him said, “We aren’t able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.”” The difference here was that two spies were saying, “We can go and take possession of the land” and 10 spies were saying, “We cannot go and take possession of the land.” All wanted to go and take possession of the land. God also promised they could go and take possession of the land. However, different perspectives generated roadblocks and worries.
Reflection
Do our perspectives of hardship and worries become roadblocks for us to fulfill God’s purpose for our lives and enjoy Him in hopefulness?
Let us not just focus on the hardship and take steps backward! Instead, let us focus on the Lord, trust Him fully, and overcome roadblocks with strength from the Lord!
Prayer
Dear Father, help us not be prideful based on our perspectives. Help us so we can come together in love, understanding, and faithfulness in You. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
