THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH

“Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?”

In the second week of January, 2020, my entire family got sick with fever, aches and pain and we suffered for more than two weeks. We tried taking medicine one after another, but nothing made a difference. In the end, I prayed to God, “Father, my life is in your hands. You are the God who gives strength. I will not be afraid. I know you can heal me. None of the medicine helped me. If you still want to use me in your ministry, please pour out your power in the water that I will drink and heal me.” And I drank the water.
To make it brief, Just as Psalm 27:1 said, the Lord is my life and my strength. The Lord is my redeemer, perfect with all powers. Even simple water can heal when God pours into it His healing power. Our lives are in the hands of the Lord. We do not need to be afraid. Habakkuk 3:19 says, “Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength.”
Reflection
What kind of fears are disturbing your life? On earth, we face many challenges and fearful circumstances. But, we know we worship the God who is omnipotent. Therefore, we do not need to be afraid.
Prayer
Father, please help me to be steadfast in trusting You and finding strength in You. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
