GOD’S MIRACULOUS ACT

When the synagogue leader’s twelve-year-old daughter died, people cried and wailed loudly. Jesus came in and saw the crying and the wailing and he said, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” What Jesus said was a laughing matter for many. However, Jesus took hold of the girl’s hand and said to her, “Girl, I tell you, get up!” (Mark 5:41b). The girl instantly got up and walked around. What was just a laughing matter became an awestruck miracle for those who just ridiculed Jesus.
Cars are indispensable in America if you want to be able to get around. It can also get dangerous to use this very helpful machine. One time, a minister and I travelled together for ministry work. I was driving. We were conversing. Out of the blue, another car hit us with such a force that our car died. Although our car died, we did not. We were not injured either. That was God’s miracle on the journey that we took. God’s miraculous acts are everywhere; we will see them if we pay close attention.
Reflection
God’s miraculous acts are free of charge. But, they should touch and motivate us to trust him more deeply and glorify him supremely. What are the miraculous acts God performed in your life? Share with your family members and friends.
