JESUS CHRIST IS POWERFUL AND MEETS OUR NEEDS

As the scripture we just read proves God meets our needs, I would like to testify that God makes things happen in His own time and fulfills all our needs beyond our expectations. I was born in upper Burma, May Myo. When I was young, I wanted to work overseas in a developed country for the betterment of my life. But I was young and did not have much experience. Also, there was no one to support me financially to make it happen. Therefore, no matter how hard I tried, my dream to go overseas was not realized. After graduating from college, I worked in the government service. There were opportunities to go abroad along the way, but I could not grasp those because of insufficient financial means. However, when I least expected, in 1989, I resigned from my job and prepared to set out for America, having some money and a plane ticket provided by my sister, Ma Juno, and her husband, Ko Billin Wong. On February 2, 1990, I left Burma with only $60 in my hands. An overnight transit was in an airport in Bangkok. At that time, there was a curfew order and no one could get out of the airport. My cousin, Tharah Eh Koh Sa, showed up and gave me $1,000. God touched him to help me when I was in need. By the grace of God, I arrived in America and seven years later my family followed. I became an American citizen. I got to attend the university and graduated. Later, I also attended a seminary and got to work for the gospel and in the church. While serving, I made a plan that when the opportunity occured I would return to Burma for mission work. In 2015, I visited Chaing Mai, Thailand, after 25 years in America. I also got to visit Israel, the United Kingdom, and Malaysia, and did mission work. Furthermore, I am thankful to God for the opportunity to work with Karen Baptist Churches in the USA and Karen Theological Study Center. Jesus Christ is powerful and He meets our needs. God’s blessings for me through His grace are beyond my expectations.
