PRAYER HAS POWER

Jesus taught his disciples to have the willingness to live out the truth for others and God, without expecting praises from people.
I would like to share a testimony about my experience in the year of 1990, when I was in a revolutionary territory working in God’s ministry. The enemies pursued us and we had to flee for our lives. We built a make-shift hut by the river. A lady from the other side of the river came to me and demanded, “Follow me right away and pray for my children.” I followed her immediately. In my mind, I prayed silently to God, “God, I can’t do anything. She trusts me because I work in your ministry. Please show me your power and make possible a miracle.” When I reached her hut, she told me that her sons were suffering from diarrhea all evening. The children looked limp, dehydrated, and could not move. I prayed in the Name of Jesus. A miracle ensued when we said Amen. The children asked for food, sat down, and recovered right then. It was all by God’s grace this miracle happened.
God has a plan for all of us when we reach the end of ourselves and there is no other hope but in God alone. If we pray to our Heavenly Father, He will grant us what we should get according to His will.
Reflection
Everytime we pray, do we really have faith that God has the power to help us?

Father God, thank you for giving me faith just so I will know you and honor you. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
