‘‘ဒီးအလီၢ်န့ၣ် စီၤအၤဘြၤဟၣ်ယုၢ်အမံၤလၢယဟိဝၤယံၤရၤ, ဒ်ပှၤစံးတုၤမဆါတနံၤအံၤအသိးန့ၣ်, လၢယွၤအကစၢၢ်တဖျၢၣ်အလိၤန့ၣ်တၢ်ကထံၣ်န့ၢ်တၢ်လီၤ.’’

စီၤအၤဘြၤဟၣ်ဘၣ်တၢ်မၤကွၢ်အီၤလၢအတၢ်နာ်ဒီးဒိကနၣ်ကစၢ်ယွၤအကလုၢ်လီၤ. လၢအဖိခွါအလီၢ်န့ၣ် ကစၢ်ယွၤ ဟ့ၣ်လီၤ သိဖါတဒုလၢတၢ်လုၢ်ထီၣ်အဂီၢ်န့ၣ်လီၤ. ဒီးစီၤအၤဘြၤဟၣ်ထံၣ်ဘၣ်တၢ်လီၤလးအိၣ်ဖျါထီၣ်လၢအဂီၢ်လီၤ. အန့ၣ်သတး, အစံးဝဲ ယဟိဝၤယံၤရၤ, အခီပညီမ့ၢ် ‘‘ယွၤထံၣ်တၢ်ဟ့ၣ်တၢ်’’ န့ၣ်လီၤ.

ပတၢ်အိၣ်မူတမ့ၢ်တၢ်လၢအဘျ့အဆှီဘၣ်. သနာ်က့ယွၤကတဲာ်ကတီၤတၢ်လၢပဂီၢ်တဆီဘၣ်တဆီလီၤ. ဟံးန့ၢ်တၢ်ဆၢကတီၢ် ၅ မံးနံးဒီးဂံၢ်ထီၣ်ယွၤအတၢ်ကတဲာ်ကတီၤလၢနဂီၢ်တဖၣ်တက့ၢ်. ဒီးဟ့ၣ်ခီဟ့ၣ်နီၤလၢနဟံၣ်ဖိဃီဖိတက့ၢ်.

JEHOVAHJIREH
Bible in A Year: Genesis 21, Genesis 22, Genesis 23; Matthew 8:23-34, Matthew 9:1-13; Psalm 7:10-17
“And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.”
Genesis 22:14 KJV
Abraham’s faith was tested and he was obedient. In the place of his son, a ram was provided for the sacrifice. Abraham saw God’s miraculous provision. And, he called the name of the place Jehovahjireh, meaning “The Lord will provide.”
In February, 1997, the enemy approached nearer and we moved to Methamee Kee in District (4). After an overnight, it was too dangerous to stay so we went to a place on the Thai-Burma border called Kya Po Meh. Soon after many of us arrived in Kya Po Meh, Thai authorities said to us that younger men could not stay there and must return. Older men could stay. We also had to leave our wives and children. They took us back to Methamee Kee. We did not know what would happen to our wives and children. We did not know what was waiting for us ahead. Will I die or will I live? Will my wife and kids die, or will they live?
The enemy was now too close. Some leaders asked us to help carry weapons. They gave me two bullet strands quite heavy for my short frame. We left at night. For two days we had not heard anything about our wives and children. The load on my shoulders was heavy, but the weight of the worries in my heart was many times heavier. After passing a car road, we were released. We did not know where exactly to go. We prayed. We just walked and asked around. By the grace of God, we found our wives and kids at Taw Ma Phyo, a place on the Thai-Burma border where the Thai authorities placed them. Unfortunately, we witnessed many deaths due to dysentery. My family, however, did not perish. God carried us step by step. He provided for us step by step. We moved from temporary shelters to refugee camps, and finally to a third country. Just as Abraham saw God’s miraculous provisions, we too see God’s miraculous provisions. Jehovahjireh! God will provide.
Reflection
Our life journey is not smooth. But, God provides for us step by step. Take five minutes to count how God provides to meet your needs. Then share with your family members.
Prayer
God, we face so many experiences. But, your provisions are greater than our experiences. For that, we thank you. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
