ဝံယံးရမံယၤမ့ၢ်ပှၤလၢအဟဲလီၤစၢၤလၢပှၤလုၢ်တၢ်အဒိၣ်အစၢၤအသွဲၣ်ဘၣ်ဆၣ်, ဖဲကစၢ်ယွၤကိးအီၤလၢကမၤအတၢ်န့ၣ်အဝဲစံးဝဲ, ‘‘အၣ်လါ, ကစၢ်ဧၢ, ကွၢ်ကွၢ်, ယကတိၤတၢ်တသ့ဘၣ်. အဂ့ၢ်ဒ်အံၤ, ယမ့ၢ်ဖိသၣ်တဂၤလီၤ.’’ (ယံးရမံယၤ ၁:၆)
ဖဲယထိၣ်သတြီၤယတၢ်အိၣ်မူဒီးဝံယံးရမံယၤန့ၣ်, လီၤဆီဝဲဒ်ထံဒီးသိအသိးန့ၣ်လီၤ. ယတၢ်လီၤစၢၤမ့ၢ်ဒၣ်မိၢ်လုပၢ်လၢ်, တၢ် အီၣ်ဃဲၤအီၣ်ဘှး, တၢ်ကူၣ်ဘၣ်ကူၣ်သ့တအိၣ်ဒီးတၢ်သ့ၣ်ညါထူယွၤတအိၣ်စ့ၢ်ကီးဘၣ်. လၢခံက့ၤဖဲယပါဒိးဘျၢထံဝံၤန့ၣ်, ယဖံသးထီၣ်အီၤဒီးတပျဲယပါလဲၤထီၣ်အဟံၣ်လၢသၢနံၣ်အတီၢ်ပူၤန့ၣ်လီၤ. သၢနံၣ်ပှဲၤထီၣ်ဒီးယပါလဲၤအိၣ်သကိးက့ၤယဖံဒီး တဲက့ၤတၢ်သးခုကစီၣ်အဂ့ၢ်အဃိ, လၢခံယဖံဒီးယပါအဒီပုၢ်ဝဲၢ်ခဲလၢာ်က့ၤနာ်က့ၤကစၢ်ခရံာ်န့ၣ်လီၤ.
ယွၤအတၢ်ဃုထၢယၤလီၤဆီဒ်လဲၣ်န့ၣ်ယနၢ်တပၢၢ်ဘၣ်. လၢယဒီပုၢ်ဝဲၢ်ဃိးဂၤအကျါ, ယထီၣ်ဘၣ်လံာ်စီဆှံကၠိဒီးမၤဘၣ်ယွၤအ တၢ်မၤတုၤဆၢကတီၢ်ခဲအံၤန့ၣ်လီၤ. ဖဲယဖျိထီၣ်တီၤထီကၠိဝံၤတဘျီဃီ, ယသးအိၣ်မၤလိတၢ်ဆူညါဘၣ်ဆၣ်, ဆၢကတီၢ်ဖဲန့ၣ် ပှၤလၢကန့ၢ်ဘၣ်တၢ်ခွဲးတၢ်ယာ်ကဘၣ်မ့ၢ်ပှၤဖျိးစိလၢတၢ်မၤလိမၤဒိးဒီးခိၣ်နၢ်ပဒိၣ်ပပှၢ်တဖၣ်အဖိသ့ၣ်တဖၣ်န့ၣ်လီၤ. မ့ၢ်လၢယ တပၣ်လၢတၢ်သ့ၣ်တဖၣ်အကျါနီတမံၤအဃိ, ကျဲအိၣ်ထဲတဘိလၢ, ယဘၣ်ပိာ်ထီၣ်ယတံၤသကိးတဖၣ်လၢကလဲၤထီၣ်လံာ်စီ ဆှံကၠိအခံ လၢတၢ်သူၣ်ဃၢသးဃၢအပူၤန့ၣ်လီၤ.
ယလဲၤတုၤလၢမဲၢ်လး, ပှၤဘၣ်ကီဘၣ်ခဲဒဲကဝီၤတဘျီဃီ, ယသးဟးဂီၤ, မ့ၢ်လၢယတထံၣ်ဘၣ်ဒဲကဝီၤဒ်အံၤနီတဘျီဘၣ်. လံာ်စီဆှံကၠိစ့ၢ်ကီးအိၣ်လၢကစၢၢ်ကပၤ, ဘၣ်ဒၢၣ်ထံ, ဘၣ်ဃုသ့ၣ်မုၢ်, ဘၣ်ဃုဒဲးအီၣ်တၢ်ဒိးတၢ်လၣ်လၢတၢ်တပှီာ်ညါပူၤ, ယသးဟးဂီၤဒိၣ်မးလီၤ. ဘၣ်ဆၣ်ဖဲကၠိစးထီၣ်န့ၣ်, တၢ်ကလုၢ်သီၣ်ထီၣ်လၢယပူၤ, ‘‘ဆၣ်ထွဲဧၢ, ခဲအံၤနဟဲတုၤလံ. နဘၣ်မၤအဂ့ၤ ကတၢၢ်လီၤ.’’ အခီပညီမ့ၢ် တဘၣ်မၤကလိာ်ကလာ်တဂ့ၤ. ဖဲန့ၣ်ယသးအဂံၢ်ဟဲဆူၣ်ထီၣ်ဒီးယစးထီၣ်မၤလိတၢ်, ဒီးယမၤအဂ့ၤ ကတၢၢ်ဒီးလၢကစၢ်ယွၤအဘျုးအဃိ, ယမၤန့ၢ်ခိၣ်ဖးတၢလၢယတၢ်မၤလိလွံၢ်နံၣ်အတီၢ်ပူၤအဃိမ့ၢ်တၢ်သးခုလၢယဂီၢ်ဒိၣ်မးလီၤ. သပှၢ်ကတၢၢ်န့ၣ်, စးထီၣ်လၢယထီၣ်ကၠိသ့တုၤလၢယဖျိထီၣ်တီၤထီကၠိန့ၣ်ယမၤလိတၢ်ယတလီၤတဲာ်နီတနံၣ်ကီးဘၣ်. ဒီးတမၤန့ၢ် ဘၣ်ခိၣ်ဖးနီတနံၣ်စ့ၢ်ကီးဘၣ်. ဘၣ်ဆၣ်ယမၤန့ၢ်ဘၣ်ခိၣ်ဖးခံထဲတဘျီဧိၤ, မ့ၢ်လၢပတီၤပူၤပှၤအိၣ်ဒၣ်ထဲခံဂၤအဃိန့ၣ်လီၤ.

Week 19
GOD’S SPECIAL CALLING FOR ME
Jeremiah 1:4-5 – “Now Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (WEB)
Although Prophet Jeremiah was a descendent of the Levite lineage, when God called him, he said, “Ah, Lord Yahweh! Behold, I don’t know how to speak; for I am a child.” (Jeremiah 1:6)
When I compare myself with Jeremiah, it is like day and night. I descended from the lineage that practiced animism, worshipped ancestors, did not have education, and did not know the true God. After my father accepted Christ and got baptized, my grandmother did not allow him to come home for three years. After three years, my father was able to visit my grandma and later shared the Gospel with her, resulting in my grandma and all her siblings coming to know Christ.
It is hard to understand how God chose me. Among my eight siblings, I got to go to Bible school and serve God until today. After graduating from high school, I wanted to pursue more education. But at that time, only those who were exceptionally successful academically and children of leaders received that kind of opportunity. I was not in that category so I had only one choice, to follow my friends and go to Bible school with a heavy heart.
Once I got to Mae La refugee camp, I was very disappointed because I had not seen a refugee camp like that. The Bible school was next to the mountains. You had to fetch water, find your own wood to use for cooking, and search for leaves and vegetables in the forest. It was a very disappointing experience. But, when the school started, a voice within me said, “Hsa Twel, you are here and you do your best.” That meant I was not to waste anything. I felt encouraged and started learning and worked hard. By God’s grace, I received first prizes for four years there and that brought great joy to me. Although I never failed any class from kindergarten to high school, I had never received any award, except for a time when there were only two students in my class.
Once I began to have a better grasp of God’s calling for me I felt joy and peace. God’s calling for me is like His calling of Jeremiah. Since I was in my mother’s womb, God had me on His mind. Like God chose those 40 people from various backgrounds to write the Bible, God thought of me to use me to spread the gospel. God from day one counted me among His servants. May God’s Name be praised and honored forevermore.

REFLECT
In the Bible God called many in strange ways. We also found that the God-chosen ones like Moses, Jonah, Gideon, and Jeremiah tried to refuse God’s calling. They gave excuses such as, who am I to speak to Pharoah, I can’t really speak, I am from the weakest clan Manasseh and I am the least in my family, and other excuses. But in the end, they accepted God’s calling and became blessings in God’s kingdom.
Are you hearing God calling you to do something? What excuses do you use to refuse God’s calling? When God’s people refuse God’s calling, what happens to the churches?

PRAYER FOR THE READER
Dear God, please bless Your children reading this devotional journal. Father, there is no child of Yours that You do not call. For every child of Yours, You have a plan and a task. I believe You let Your children reading this devotional know what it is that You want them to do. Please help them not to refuse Your calling. Let them not pass the blessings You want to bestow upon them. Help them to accept Your call in faith, willingness, and enthusiasm with reliance upon Your strength and power. If they are refusing Your call, please forgive them and let Your Holy Spirit lead them to repentance and acceptance of the opportunity to serve You in love and praise of You. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
