Interconnection

Week 23

Interconnection

So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

Romans 12:5

The interconnected relationship between family and church is the beauty of our Karen Christian culture.  The interconnectedness of church and family is visible in our relationships and the leadership/authority God gives to his people. I was raised in a Christian home dedicated to serving God, and being interconnected with other believers is important. The church is more than a building that I go to two or three times a week, sing songs, and hear a sermon. The bonds that we formed at church did not happen only on Sunday. We are together not only in person but in spirit almost every day. I believe it is where Christ loves, nourishes, and cherishes. A great example of this is our physical bodies. It has many organs and parts, but each part cannot exist on its own. Being a part of the body enables the various parts to operate within their function. Thus, in Christ, we connect to every other believer, and we will belong to each other for eternity.

Dear God, may we understand how we are one body and interconnect with one another  in unity and service to bring the operation of God’s kingdom into this world. I pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
