Week 29
Love
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
1 John 4:10
This is God’s love for you just so you would receive His love. Love is not just something you feel inside, but the actions you do. The real love that God offers us comes through the will of the Father and the death of the Son so we do not have to pay for the penalty of our sin. Jesus Christ died for you to have the right relationship with Him. When I become cognizant of my sin against God, I feel ashamed and tend to hide from God. But, when I come to the genuine realization that my sin has truly been forgiven, I am able to enter into a relationship with God in freedom. This is God’s love that even when you are in the midst of sinning and do not know how to respond to God’s love, He chooses to love you first and free you from the penalty of your sin. Please know that God always loves you. You are valuable before our Lord Jesus Christ. Likewise, may God’s unconditional love move us to love our family, our church, our community, our Karen people, those who are not Karen people, and all our neighbors with the love of Christ.
Dear God, although Your love for us is limitless, our love for you is limited. Teach us to love You and our neighbors more each day.We pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
